Mélange and Repertory Dance Company auditions for second semester will be held on
. This is an AUDITION for any new students interested in joining the companies for second semester or for members of the Repertory Dance Company interested in moving to Mélange. At the end of the process we will notify you if you have been cast and into which company you have been placed.
Students should come dressed in dance attire, hair-up, no jewelry. Students will be emailed a tutorial video of a movement phrase to learn prior to the audition. On the days of the audition, students will warm-up and review the movement phrase and then perform that phrase.
In addition, students should come prepared to perform a 45-60 second solo of their own unique and original choreography. Please stay within the styles of Jazz and Contemporary. Music is optional. Students will sign up to perform their solos for the dance faculty individually.
Company Commitment:
Students must be able to commit to rehearsals Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:45pm-6:30pm. They must also be free every day after school during the week of tech: Spring Dance Concert 2025:
April 28, 29- Technical Rehearsal 3:45 – 9:30 pm
April 30 - Technical Dress 3:45 – 9:30 pm (Recording with Rick)
May 1- Dress 3:45 – 9:00 pm
May 2 & 3, –Performance 5:00 PM Call, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
The associated fees for participating in the dance companies are approximately $150 - $175. This expense is for Stevenson Dance Connection Dues, company shirts, tech week meals, etc).
